We Florida Financial has a Business Continuity Plan in place which addresses a wide variety of possible events that can disrupt normal business functions. This plan includes specific protocols during a pandemic. STIMULUS CHECK INFORMATION

On Friday, April 10, the Internal Revenue Service started issuing economic impact payments by direct deposit to qualified Americans with the funds to be available in accounts on April 15. Additional electronic payments will continue to be released throughout April. These payments are based on your 2018 and 2019 tax filings. Members who did not file for electronic returns for 2018 or 2019 filings will not receive direct deposit payments via ACH. Instead, those who qualify, will receive payment by check in the mail in the coming weeks. People on Social Security — both retirees and those on disability — are eligible to receive the coronavirus relief payment as long as their total income does not exceed the limit. Treasury has clarified that people on Social Security who do not normally file a tax return will automatically receive the payment. They do not need to file anything else.

BEWARE OF SCAMS. THE IRS WILL NOT ASK THAT YOU PAY A FEE OR CONFIRM PERSONAL INFORMATION BEFORE ISSUING AN ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENT.

 How much should my stimulus check be?

  • Eligible individuals with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 will automatically receive the full payment of $1,200.
  • Married couples filing a joint return with adjusted gross income up to $150,000 will automatically receive the full $2,400 payment.
  • Parents also get $500 for each eligible child under 17.
  • The maximum payment for a family of four is $3,400. The payment will not be taxed.
  • Individuals with incomes over $75,000 and up to $99,000 and married couples filing jointly with income over $150,000 and up to $198,000 will receive partial payments as determined by the IRS.

 How can I access my stimulus check?

  • For some members, electronic stimulus checks will be available in accounts on April 15 and is based, partly, on whether you filed for electronic returns in 2018 or 2019 tax return filings.
  • You can access your account online or through Call24 to check the status of any expected stimulus check.
  • Sign into your account via our website or mobile app. Click on the account that was used for your previous tax ACH payment. Review the transactions tab to see the stimulus check deposit date and amount.
  • We will not have additional information for members besides whether a deposit by ACH was received to your account.
  • Visit the IRS' “Get My Payment” online-based portal to monitor the status of stimulus checks and when they should arrive.

Why don’t I see my stimulus check?

  • Stimulus payments are being issued on an on-going basis and will continue to come in.
  • Your payment will be direct deposited to the electronic payment on file from 2018 and 2019 taxes.
  • If the IRS does not have your ACH information, you will receive the payment via check in the mail and will be sent in the upcoming weeks.
  • There will be an opportunity to register for electronic payment on the IRS’s website
  • Those who’ve not filed 2018-19 taxes can use the IRS portal to designate a direct deposit account
  • The CARES Act specifically codes the economic impact payment stimulus check as a tax rebate, not a government benefit. Tax rebates are subject to garnishment.

 How can I register my account through the IRS website?

  • Go to the IRS website to see if you have to set up the online portal.
  • Add your credit union account number.
  • Add the routing number of your credit union ours can be found on the bottom of this page.
  • Don’t include the check number.
  • Double-check that you have entered the correct numbers. Entering an incorrect number could result in a payment delay.

 

NEW BRANCH HOURS

Following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control to practice social distancing, we will be moving our lobby service to our drive thrus. Services will be by appointment only for our branches with no drive thrus and for services we are unable to handle in the drive-ip or walk-up window.  These changes will be effective on Wednesday, March 25.
